Sparrow
Sparrow
A House Sparrow (Passer domesticus) starting from a hedge in winter. Snow and ice on the hedge and the light background underline the wintry mood. I took this Photo at our neighbours hedge in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Bavaria, Germany in March 2021. Yes it was still winter here in March and sometimes, you don`t have to go far away to get some cool wildlife shots.

Since I was eleven years old, when I received my first camera, I was indulged in photography. Even back then, animals have been my favourite subjects. I grew up with anlogue photography and I filled many colour films in the Zoo.
Zoological gardens make a big contribution to conservation and education. Beside animal- and enclosure photography for Zoos, wildlife photography is my passion and my personal way to contribute to conservation.
My love for nature was leading me to Innsbruck, Austria, in 2011, where I studied biology for four terms, beneath my work in the Bavarian casino in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. In the following years I educated myself further with correspondence courses for tourism management and journalism.
On diverse trips through Europe, Asia and Africa I could promote
my photographical skills and develop my own style.
Because in photography you never stop learning and development is an ongoing process, I am always looking forward for new tasks and challenges.
