Remembering Corky

This image is part of a series that explores the complex relationships between fathers and their sons. Corky was a successful engineer and the father of my best friend in Junior High. After the breakup of his marriage, Corky started his "collection." Bills, newspapers, and junk mail began to fill up his home. Allen attempted to intervene, but Corky couldn't stop. Corky was eventually moved into a convalescent home where last Winter he contracted Covid-19 and passed away. Allen is pictured in his childhood home, surrounded by images of his father and the legacy he left.
