PLEASE DON'T GO
This photographic story was created during the lockdown period of 2021, in Embilipitiya, eastern Sri Lanka. The theme was common with the arising situation in the country, children being alone once their loved ones were taken away for quarantine. This however, was a novel experience for many people.
Isolation is thematically silent and is very visual. Familiar locations might become unfamiliar and known relationships might become strange.
Capturing emotions and psychical conditions via visual arts is phenomenal. It creates an open passage for anyone to look in to their own childhood, which cannot undermine even on a period of pandemic.
Subdued violence experienced by spending time without loved ones will create a complex atmosphere via memories and hope. Individual suffering is colorless and guise of presence of another is trapped in time and space.
