Rachelle is a Northern California native who grew up in a beautiful mountainous area that locals lovingly call Shasta. As a child she was drawn to the magic and splendor of the forests and lakes she called her playground. Her first inspiration for photography grew out of her love of capturing her older sister in the many hidden places they spent their time. From those early memories of hang- ing black bed sheets in the garage and long hikes with her camera, photography has always been a part of how Rachelle expresses her inner self.

After 9 years in the US Navy, Rachelle circled back to her original love and has been pursuing black and white photography since 2010. She finds great joy in exhibiting and seeing her work published and has been in group exhibitions near and far including Rome, Italy and most recently a the John Wayne Airport and Bowers Museum as well as Vogue, Italia. She has completed her BFA and MA in Fine Art Photography from the Academy of Art University.
