Sossusvlei Sandstorm

Whilst visiting Deadvlei, Sossusvlei in Namibia a sandstorm swept across the region. Whilst most people ran for cover I seized the opportunity and photographed the iconic acacia tree skeletons against the backdrop of the world's steepest sand dunes. The conditions were extremely challenging; my eyes, shins and camera took a battering. However I left on a high, knowing I had just witnessed and recorded the pinnacle of my landscape photography search.
