During the winter time in Iceland the magical underworld of Vatnajökull glacier opens up to explorers.

The unique thing about ice caves are that every winter the caves are different, the once possible to visit last winter have melted away or changed drastically and new ones open up meaning that there is only a short window to visit each ice cave.

Here is a collection of pictures from few of the ice caves i have explored and documented in the last years.
