Inner Landscapes
Inner Landscapes
I started this creative research inspired by the works of an artist I love very much:
Mark Rothko.
Immersed in nature, I wanted to capture the vibration of color as much as possible, to show myself how engaging a landscape can be, even when the shape is not visually defined. The emotion that color can convey, thanks to the changing lights of the day, is unparalleled.
To enhance this project I use very slow shutter speeds and a small aperture. Sometimes I use double exposures, but above all I use the blur technique, which gives me the possibility to “paint with light” and to create real brushstrokes of color.
Through this research I want to pay attention to the "vibration of colors".
Vibration is present in everything that surrounds man, as it is present in the atoms and molecules that make up the physical body.
In my images, the observer's state of mind interacts with the color variation, even when the shape of the subject is dissolved, as happens here.
In fact, I wanted to create the "synthesis of the landscape", eliminating, with movement, the recognizable signs, so that color prevails. In this way, the viewer passes from the logical search to the emotional impact, thus discovering inner landscapes.
