FISSURES, ANALOGIES BODY / ARCHITECTURE
FISSURES, ANALOGIES BODY / ARCHITECTURE
My project, of an autobiographical nature, speaks of mental fragility, and part of a time in my life where I hit rock bottom and literally broke into pieces and I fell apart Fissures was a catharsis and I will materialize these feelings
in a series of self-portraits. In my project I have made a series of diptychs in which I establish an analogy body / building, trying to establish a parallel between the demolition of a construction and collapse of the body and, consequently, of the mind. Fissures is loaded with metaphorical elements such as the crack or the wound. To show the idea of emotional fragility, I made a series of porcelain brains which I later threw on the ground to take photographs of the fragments, metaphor of emotional weakness to which every individual is exposed in specific moments of his life.
