The Crime Weapon


The Crime Weapon is a series made in 2021 and belonging to a work called to tenderness. These are pieces of paper towels that I used to paint on pages of the Charlie Hebdo newspaper. At the time of the attacks in January 2015, many people had posted pictures of pencils as a weapon of freedom of expression. This series proposes to return to this story by making portraits of the weapons of creation. There are 12 in total, like the death toll in the bombing.

Author
I started photography during my architecture studies. I found there a complementary means of expression of my profession. for me everything can be a subject of photography. The camera allows me to look at the world in a way that is both poetic and scientific. It is also a way of working on memory. Taking photographs is like making archeology from an image that crystallizes a given state of affairs.
