I always loved books as an object and a place where visual imagery is an indispensable element.
When we read, we imagine. A book is, therefore, essentially a work that also lives on images.
I consider myself a chaotic reader, and then I chose four titles that represent the complexity concept.
Complexity is intended as a puzzle of legendary landscapes, hidden meanings and specific symbols.
In these images, from a technical/stylistic point of view, I focus on transparencies, reflections and shadows, which allows me to change the materials and shapes' perception.
Black and white use is functional to express the purity and essentiality of the portrayed objects.
The books are:
- LE CITTA' INVISIBILI by I. Calvino
- IL MILIONE by M. Polo
- PERCEVAL by C. de Troyes
- HAMLET by W. Shakespeare
