The Holocaust Memorial, Berlin
The monument to the six million murdered European Jews was designed by the New York architect Peter Eisenman. The block of about two hectares in the center of Berlin, was not only the center of the Nazi empire, but also part of the "death zone" right next to the Berlin Wall. The columns of different sizes made of gray concrete blocks are a grid complex, I am confused and oppressively lonely among them. I took this photo when I first went there
