City Groove

The City Groove is a ongoing project where I try to make my visits to citys in a unique way. Multiple photos are taken from the same place but with different shooting angles and a different focus are used to create a composite image. The image I make passes the registration in the camera. I try to present the experience and emotions of the place during my visit. Sounds of e.g. trams, people, the weather, the time of day determine the melody of the place.

By duplication and multiplication I try to fasten multiple layers of a place.  Through rhythm, lines, colors I compose a new image: the City Groove. The photos are like the notes of a melody, where for example the repetitions are the rhythm, stairs or stepped gables the scales and the colors the 'mood'.

Each image stands on its own, but together my City Groove is created.

My creative work are images from nature, citiy's, structures and playgrounds.

Most times my images are colorful and they can be realistic or also abstract. The palpable atmosphere of the places is ‘painted’ with my camera  and can be seen in layers, colours, reflections, movements and expressions.

My approach is often to turn the known in the unknown so that people look at it again and in a different way.

I think originality is important and am trying to catch that in my work
