Vipers and Their Prey
Vipers and Their Prey
This a series of photos that explore how vipers capture and consume their prey. The scenes are a reflection of what goes on everyday in the wild. They serve to remind us of natural predator-prey relationship that often involves capture, resistance, struggle and violence.
Within the grisliness, there is also ample beauty - the majesty of the snakes, the enticing curvature of their slithering bodies, their colours, and how they swallow their prey whole.
The strength of this portfolio is that it evokes a juxtapose of strong emotions in the viewers. Some people feel disgust, some see beauty, while others experience overwhelming psychological pressure as they put themselves in the shoes of the prey being eaten alive. Regardless of what emotion the viewer feels, what is certain is that this portfolio of vibrant photos will creates a lasting impression.
