The Pallas's cat, also called manul, is a small wild cat with a broad but fragmented distribution in the grasslands and montane steppes of Central Asia.
It is negatively affected by habitat degradation. This particular cat was guarding its meal on an extremely cold and windy day. I didn't recognize it for the first instance as only 2 eyes can be seen shining through the snow. Then finally when I got to know what it is I spent some time photographing it and waiting to see its next move when I realized it was actually guarding its meal.
