Puffin run
Puffin run
I am on a rocking boat that fights against waves near one of the Faroe Islands coasts. We spot a flock of puffins ahead of us for which I wasn't prepared. I had the wrong lens, landscape camera settings, and was already pretty tired after hiking. If it wasn't for my girlfriend I would probably pass on taking photos, but she motivated me and assisted me to prepare the gear ASAP. We have a well-practiced routine of lens dance but on a boat that splashes water and jumps on waves, it is quite a different story :) Luckily we managed to get me shooting before the birds run away. I took pictures of puffins before, but it was my first time on a sea-level. It is much harder when you are constantly moving.
The Puffins are pretty sloppy looking flyers but the way they run on water to gain speed to fly is eye-catching. It is one of my favourite pictures from that trip - never pass on taking photos.

Passionate about the serenity of the natural world, I am a photographer who finds solace and inspiration amidst Earth's landscapes. For me, the great outdoors is not just a backdrop for my photography, but a place of deep, personal rejuvenation. My artistic pursuit lies in exploring the abstract connections and structural parallels between the micro and macro realms of nature. From the swirling patterns of galaxies to the rhythmic dance of ocean waves, I seek to capture these universal motifs. My fascination extends to the intricate details etched in glacial ice, revealing a world of complexity often overlooked. My photography is a reflection of my journey to uncover the hidden symmetries and profound connections that bind the vastness of space to the intricacies of our natural world.
