This photo was taken in Oakland a few weeks into the Covid 19 outbreak. Oakland sits inside Alameda county which was hit hard with Covid 19 infections and has consistently maintained high numbers of infections. This elderly man represents a very vulnerable group of our country who are particular at high risk and extremely cautious in not wanting to be infected.

I love the joys on human interaction and story. I believe that there is sacred nature to the intimacy that is human interaction and I find a truth in making portraits on the street that is unique in both its creation and application.
