Belvedere, more wine ...
Belvedere, more wine ...
This is an entry for a young woman restarting her modeling career, I was coaching her on posing, I said, "think, Belvedere, bring me my wine...." she started to laugh and I caught her at that moment.
Author
Dad, Buddhist, Photographer, Writer. I started my photography career when my daughter was born, 7 years ago. I grew up in Latin America when only film cameras existed, when film was very expensive to buy and to develop.
We'd save for months to buy a 110 film roll with 12 exposures, then borrow a neighbor's camera, take 2 buses to go buy the film at the Kodak factory, 2 buses to come back home, 2 buses to go pick it up when it was developed, and finally 2 buses to come home and enjoy some blurry pictures.
These experiences taught me that photographs were important. Important enough to save for it, to wait for months, and ride many kilometers back and forth.
We did not have television, so the closest to entertainment was pulling the few photo albums we had, and get granny or grandpa to tell us stories about each picture.
I feel as if photographs have have always been conversation starters and history captured for me since childhood, and I try to do the same with my photography now
