Jabe was born in 1976 at Abymes, in Guadeloupe (French West Indies), and spent his childhood there, untill 16. Then he left for Paris to follow art studies. From this time, he became fond of painting. His first exhibition took place in Colognes, he was only 18.
When he came back in Paris, Jabe decided to focus in make up and spent 2 years at Shu Uemura Cosmetics, where he learnt the basics.
In 1998, he started to work freelance. Its work was seen in major magazines such as Vogue.it, Vogue Gioiello, Vogue Accessory, Vogue Sposa, Vogue Spain, L’Officiel Paris, Glamour Italy, Vanity Fair Italy, Marie Claire French...
As a makeup artist, he contributed to the development of various advertising campaigns, catalogues and several fashion shows , for customers such as Gucci, Nina Ricci, Kenzo, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Boucheron, Cartier, Lancaster, Lancel, Chloé, Christian Lacroix, Swarovski, Loewe…
