WITHOUT RESPITE

Few obligatory steps mark the life of Stefania, nurse at the S. Anna Hospital of Ferrara (IT), between one shift and another. We are in full coronavirus emergency, the pandemic that is bringing Italian and world healthcare to its knees. There are necessary measures to be followed to avoid contagion. No contact, no proximity to avoid contamination and the dangerous consequences. Just the time of a shower, a meal, a little rest from physical and mental fatigue. The virus doesn't wait. But the patients do and there is no respite, there is no escape, there is no stopping. A few hours of break, small daily gestures of a life lived on the border between fear and desire to react, between fears and sense of responsibility.

Da anni impegnata nell’ambito della Comunicazione visiva, nel quale ho sempre cercato di approfondire il valore delle idee e la forza delle immagini coltivando un interesse particolare per l’etica visiva. Ho frequentato Corsi sulla Fotografia Documentaria e, in seguito, il confronto con importanti figure dell’Editoria ha reso possibile l’assegnazione di Progetti pubblicati su testate e riviste nazionali. Ho diversi riconoscimenti sia in ambito fotografico che grafico e attualmente porto avanti progetti personali e di indagine documentaria. Lavoro come Art Director / Photographer per un'agenzia di Visual Communication a Bologna.
