The rural land of Turkana in the time of Coronavirus
The rural land of Turkana in the time of Coronavirus
The series tells how the lockdown was experienced, by visibly and conceptually opposing places and people. The entire western world was stuck in the houses and nobody had the opportunity to testify what was going on in Africa.
The social health conditions of Turkana, one of the most rural lands on the Planet, were extremely precarious and not ready to face the pandemic.
The pictures show the daily life of the most isolated health facilities, the employees, and the people in the villages forced to change their age-old habits in a few months.
Coronavirus highlighted the necessities of the people around the world, and their differences depending on who and where they are.
