The Shawoman
The Shawoman
Tsetsgee is a local woman in the Dukha community living in the Taiga Forest of Northern Mongolia. Her gift is healing the sick and channeling spirits from beyond places we can see. She is a quiet and shy woman who allowed me to see some wonderful parts of her funny, kind, and compassionate heart. Days later, I would find myself the center of her focused healing as she held a ceremony for me after I became painfully ill. The ceremony itself was an incredible moment to be part of. Even more incredible-that after I felt better. Not a little better- almost completely better. The pain in my body was gone. My appetite returned almost immediately and I no longer felt nauseated. Was it her gift of healing that vanished the toxic energies in my body? To this day, the outcome is something I can’t totally explain. My western medicine upbringing tells me it is not possible that this woman had the ability to heal. However, my life experience in world tells me that anything is possible.
