Civita di Bagnoregio: The dying City

Civita di Bagnoregio is a small medieval town in the center of Italy. Considered one of the most beautiful town in Italy for its historical interest, Civita is known as "the dying city", because the tuff hill where it rests is eroded over time by two small torrents, but also by rain and wind. Civita is embraced by the clay waves that form the Calanchi valley. Today the town's community has dwindled to just 11 permanent residents.
