Darkness and Light

It had been a day of heavy storms around Melbourne in the summer of 2020, and as afternoon changed to evening it seemed as though the likelihood of any photography was very minimal. A quick check of the radar however, showed that the front pushing through was showing signs of fragmenting, and if I was lucky there was a chance that this would be before the light had faded for the day. A mad, 45 minute dash from my home to Geelong ensued, and my hunch had been right. Even though there was still some rain in the air I was able to keep my lens dry long enough to capture a number of images and as the afterglow of the setting sun lit up the heavy cloud, this majestic, yet eerily haunting scene developed before me
