American Muscle
American Muscle
Harkening back to a time when pulp novels were a valid form of entertainment, and borrowing from the days where art was allowed stand on its own, without a requisite global movement to bolster its existence; Chase Wilson illustrates scenes that are as likely to be described in a Carter Brown novel as they would be found on in a mid-budget genre film. The image “American Muscle,” produced in October of 2020, depicts a scene where a scenario has plaid out, and the viewer is left to contemplate what will transpire next.
Borrowing heavily from themes found in period Genre films and by taking meticulous control of lighting, color and character, the viewer is left wanting to assemble the narrative elements that are in frame to complete the plot.
