Hacked society
Hacked society
The project was born from a reflection on the pervasiveness of social clichés and was produced by staging clichés that are emphasized by introducing an uncanny subversion of roles which reveals their stereotyped nature.
The people portrayed and the spaces in which the images are set emerged from a strongly endotic path, the reverse of that exotic charm from which the seductive power we attribute to sensations and images from places and circumstances far from our habit. The research has instead led the author on traces of strong proximity to his personal history, leading him to select for the tableaux vivant environments and people who are part of his experience and to which he is particularly and intimately linked.
Hacked society is then the staging of a possible tampering with society, which reveals its unfair nature, arousing questions that lead the gaze further, towards a revelation that the cliché, cradling us and holding us in his reassuring arms, he had concealed.
