Awake At Midnight

“Awake At Midnight” is a portrait of the times display the architecture of Dubai at midnight during the COVID-19 quarantine times. The subject are the people of the city who are clearly awake later than usual during lockdown, illuminating the buildings. One of the buildings has no lights on as it is a hotel and tourists are no longer visiting the city. On one of the buildings there lies a hidden reflection of “The Museum Of The Future” which is currently under construction, and resembles during this time the future that we are building towards. The future will never be the same. People lie at home awake, pondering over the uncertainty of our lives. Tourists are no longer. And we are building towards the future portrayed through the building and reflections.
