Empty spaces
Spring 2020. Florence, Italy. The city has emptied. The places of art, where the marvelous works of artists such as Michelangelo, Botticelli and Giotto among others stand, which every year attract millions of tourists from all over the world, are now empty. The squares, meeting places for children and the elderly, have lost their vitality. As well as shopping malls, where shops have closed their doors to consumers. This photographic series, which is part of a larger project, really wants to tell all of this. I decided to take my photos with the multi exposure technique, to give a sense of return to the past, as if thousands of eyes were observing the same subject at the same time. As if at the time of the shot I was surrounded by many people, in those places where I used to see them. Those places that for too long have been surrounded only by silence.
