Night Flight

I use long exposure photography and lights to create at night, and in this case I used my drone and rigorous planning to create the image. By planning I mean measuring the diameter of the tree in the day to make sure my drone didn't fly into a branch, I checked the weather forecast obsessively to find the perfect clear evening for it and I practiced my drone 'swirls' repeatedly to make sure I had everything ready.

More often than not, and quite frustratingly my work is mistaken for photoshop / post production / digital trickery, but this is far from the truth for I have spent the best part of a decade mastering the medium of Light Painting and I am extremely proud to be sharing it with you.
