Post-Landscape

Post-Landscape is a series of digital landscape photography. I explored the virtual world "Second Life" and captured the images. The real-world landscape composed of materials is different from the virtual world landscape which is constructed by programming language or digital data. However from the moment a real-world landscape is recorded by a digital camera, it becomes a "digital" and then both the real and virtual become infinitely identical. Both landscape are digitally processed and represented, regardless of the critical differences in their original composition. The boundary between the real and virtual landscape is blurred by the digital medium. The landscape rendered on that threshold is, I call, "Post-Landscape".
