Nannie and Kid
Nannie and Kid
Mt. Evans is one of the few places in Colorado where you are able to drive to the top of the 14, 270 foot peak and view the mountain goats that live there. It is only a couple of hours west of Denver but it is a mountain gem for wildlife viewing. On this particular 4th of July, the mountain goat females (nannies) and their offspring (kids) were walking along the high cliffs grazing on tundra grass. This nannie goat and her kid paused briefly to watch my approach. What a spectacular panoramic vista of the Rocky Mountains I captured in this image with the Mountain goat mother and her child looking directly at me.

I am a nature and wildlife photographer living in Gunnison, Colorado. I was introduced to photography in my youth. Inspired and guided by Divine, today, I am a professional photographer. I love to capture an image of a mighty eagle swooping a fish from the waters or photograph a majestic elk moving gracefully across a high alpine meadow. I hope that my images will eliminate hunting and inspire more animal and habitat protection in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. I wish to protect the wildlife rich environment of Gunnison County, Colorado, which is over 80% public land and make it another National Treasure for wildlife and their habitat, Blue Mesa National Park.
