This photographic work proposes a raw vision of pain. The artist, through a closed space, uses the photographic medium to reveal and address the complexity of pain. There is no truth in pain, it is neither true nor false, it is just there. It dominates the situation, beats out its own rhythm, takes its time and its insidious slowness makes for chaos within us. She was aware of it only in fragments, but eventually its total blackness possessed her, pushing aside her own light. How do you represent something which we can neither touch nor feel if it is not already in us ? Isolated from the outside world, the photographer plunges into a dark and sensitive introspection where light reveals as much as it conceals. This free diving where the isolation resonates, allows to glimpse a reality often hidden in the darkness. Using the new limits of her environment, she observes a fragmentation of the intimate and composes, by means of an analogue camera, a meticulous set-up for each image.
