San Connection
San Connection
I was a real state agent with a permanent job till June when I decided I wanted to take my career as a photographer seriously and full time. So I asked my boss to fire me, bought a flight and headed off to what would be my very first time in Africa and also my first documentary project. I chose the San Bushmen people and I was lucky enough to arrange a voluntary work teaching English to their kids while living with them and get the best and deep perspective for my portraits.
I was living in the nature in the remote bush for 3 months and became part of their community, we danced, we laughed, we hugged and only after one month of creating that bond I pulled out my camera and started working. The process of taking these portraits was so special, so full of humanity that no words can explain what it means in my heart.
I left a part of me with them and a part of them will always remain with me, that's my story.
