In Between

My partner and our 8-year-old son live a beautiful relationship. Very intense, with lots of love and silence and disagreement. Of course. It is life, and especially in the relationship between mother and child. I then decided to accompany them for a few months in a somewhat "silent" way, observing their conflicts without interfering. In those moments individual spaces and reflections were created between them. And in those spaces that I intended to work within the photography.

Born in Brazil in 1983, my country became a Democratic Republic and left the dictation period behind. I Graduated in Arts with focus in Performing Arts in 2008 by the University of State of Santa Catarina. I moved to Australia in 2009, where I could experienced my first documentary film about Aborigines living in the center of Sydney. I made a short course of Direction of Photography and Documentary at Metroscreen Film School. I returned in 2011 to Brazil with my wife, we were pregnant. We had Caue, since that time I start to work in film production, especially short-films, specialised myself as a focus-puller, and later I would become a DOP. Then from 2012 to 2018 I worked in advertisement productions and films. From 2013 I started to photograph still for commercial. From 2017 to 2018 I had an incredible experience, coordinating a group of indigenous from Brazil in a photography project. Currently, I am finishing my Master of Arts/Photography at Wintec - New Zealand.
