Khayelitsha is partially informal township in Cape Town. The name is Xhosa means Our new home. It is reputed to be the largest and fastest growing township in South Africa. In 2013 ,on New Year Day, the township experienced a fire that resulted number of deaths with 4000 residents being left homeless's their shacks were burned to the ground.
