The photo was shot early in the (cold) morning, last november 2019 at the Speulderbos, Garderen, Netherlands. I liked it to reflect the cold from the night. The couple gave me permission to photograph them.

I began my photography journey in 2019, inspired by a night spent under the Milky Way. Driven to capture the awe of that experience, I dedicated myself to mastering the art of astro-photography. Over time, I also developed a passion for forest photography but my portfolio has since evolved to include the dramatic beauty of mountain landscapes, reflecting my deepening connection with nature. Above all, I feel a strong responsibility for the state of nature and value silence and solitude as a way to deeply connect with the landscape.

In my work I strive to capture mood and emotion. I’ve always felt a deep connection to the night sky and love mystery and adventurous landscapes. By combining technical expertise in the field with my artistic vision in post-processing, my goal is to distill the emotion and energy of a landscape into an immersive frame.
