Water and life are one, for they work in a unique and perfect cycle. “Matter is neither created nor destroyed, only transformed” in a constant space-time lapse. We behold water and we feel the awakening of an intuitive knowledge of life, we perceive its destructive power, but the most important is its power to transform. That constant change which gives way to new realities that guides us along the paths of freedom and imagination.
This last path is one of the main problems of the human being nowadays and its impetuous desire to delimit, not only the objects in its life, but also the concepts in one’s mind, attempting to encompass everything in one´s hands, and that is how life escapes “like water between one’s fingers”, while it follows its way…
Water ... life element , element of decadence ... always complex environments and landscapes , full of surprises and uncertainties ... full of perpetual moments ...

Daniel Agra approaches photography as one might work a material: he does not seek to represent water, stone, architecture, or cloud, but to touch them until they cease to be identifiable and become surface, texture, density. This tactile attentiveness is not incidental; it emerges from decades spent in the world of fashion and raw materials, long before that same sensibility migrated into the photographic gesture. His photography therefore does not document the world; it dismantles it to the point where the viewer stops asking what they are looking at and begins asking what it makes them feel.
