Odyssey of Abandonment

Sea and land horizons, daring metamorphoses; epiphanies of new monsters, to be recognized and defeated. Contemporary Ulysses still searching, still on the way. 
'Odyssey of Abandonment' is the narration of a metaphorical universe, symbolically unusual, suspended, which identifies an estrangement that is at times banal yet daily, capable of confusing the entire humanity. Where the solitude of endless paths thickens, agglutinated within a horizon given by a continuous paradox, there are signs of an absence that, in the plastic and in the abandoned objects - emblem of illusion - conceals an ephemeral existentialism. Ulysses, every man in search of his own ego, wanders along paths that are often hidden, and everything should help him to support his identity instead reaches the void, limbic dimension between sea and land; in which, due to lack of self, echoes a life waiting for something else.

Author
Anna Rosati, visual artist, photographer and graphic designer. For some years Fulvio Roiter's collaborator, she was involved in reportage, traveling in Europe, Latin America, Asia and Africa. Graduated from DAMS Unibo plus 2 Diplomas in High Education, in the following years she developed passionate research, both in the themes (anthropological, social, conceptual) and in the opportunities offered by the new photographic devices.
