Insomnia

A couple of years ago, l relocated to the US for work where all of the above pictures were shot on my Leica M7. I gradually became heavily insomniac and went out at night more and more to shoot, hoping l would be able to fall asleep eventually. I almost exclusively shot experimental and expired, film, trying to get closer to the weird feelings l had to be the only person awake in the city that doesn’t sleep, like l was doing something excitingly forbidden.
I didn’t fall asleep but l understood so much about myself. I am still insomniac but l will keep going out taking pictures at night, chasing my own light in the dark.
