Light at the bullring
Light at the bullring
I visited a very well-known place in my city, Colonia del Sacramento — the Bullring. It’s a place that has been photographed countless times, which makes it difficult to see it in a different, new way, to present something unique. That was my goal: to look beyond the obvious. To see through the eyes of a first-time visitor who lets themselves be surprised. To observe how locals use the space in ways completely unrelated to its original purpose, and how something so structured has changed over time. To find spontaneity in discovering and enjoying, paying special attention to what is revealed through the light.
The photographs were taken from the second level of the bullring, allowing tourists and locals to move, play, and interact freely with the space while I observed from above.
