echoes of light and passage
echoes of light and passage
This series observes everyday life in Malta through attentive street photography. I focus on how people inhabit public space — moving between light and shadow, solitude and presence, routine and quiet ritual. The images were made without staging, using natural light and a handheld camera.
Rather than searching for spectacular moments, I look for subtle situations where human presence leaves traces in space: in gestures, shadows, passing figures, and the rhythm of architecture. Approaching the sea, fleeting encounters, moments of pause and movement form a visual flow of ordinary life.
Working in black and white allows me to emphasize structure, contrast and atmosphere. What interests me most is not a single decisive moment, but the continuity of human presence and its quiet dialogue with space and light.
