Between Selves

This series of self-portraits is the way to examine transitions within the self — between youth and age, presence and absence, thought and emotion. Each portrait reflects a moment of self-immersion. The series began from a personal space — an urge to capture what is not always visible: the shifts in identity, the moments when you feel yourself changing but can’t quite say how. I became interested in that in-between space — between younger and older, between stillness and emotion, between how we’re seen and how we feel inside. Each image is, in a way, a self-observation.
