The horror of a deadliest earthquake that killed dozens
A powerful M6.9 earthquake struck the central Philippines on Sept. 30, 2025, destroying buildings, causing landslides, killing at least 79 and injuring over 1,000. It was followed by thousands of aftershocks that terrified the quake-affected residents as search and rescue operations continued.
This is the deadliest earthquake quake to hit the disaster-prone country since 2013.
