Alien Planet
This photo was taken in Teide National Park, Tenerife. The park offers so much to explore, from some of Europe’s darkest skies to massive rock formations. However, I think that the true gem of the park is the Tajinaste flower. These flowers can grow up to 3 meters tall and take 2 years to bloom. During the day, bees dance around the flowers, while the Tajinastes endure strong winds, very hot daytime temperatures, sparse rainfall, and cold nights due to drastic temperature changes. When night falls, these flowers stand so majestic and resilient that even the stars and the Milky Way struggle to steal the spotlight.
