The pierced rock

La Roche Percée emerges from the limestone cliffs, bathed in the soft mist of sunrise above the Dordogne at Montfort, a hamlet of the commune of Vitrac. On the left, the iconic pierced rock stands out against the morning haze, balanced by a solitary tree clinging to the right edge of the cliff. Below, at the bottom right, the Dordogne shimmers in the early light, its surface catching subtle magenta reflections as the landscape awakens in a serene, almost ethereal calm.

Curious about the world around me, I am an eternal learner. My scientific training as a geophysicist and my long-standing interest in art, literature and poetry inspire me to observe the world through my camera.

My scientific background has given me a deep understanding of the natural forces that shape our Earth, and it enriches my approach to photography, allowing me to reveal the magic hidden behind every landscape, every rock, and every cloud.

Inspired by the masters of painting who mastered the art of chiaroscuro, I seek to create images that capture the very essence of light and shadow, bringing to life landscapes that seem to come straight out of a dream. Each shot is a canvas, and each moment is an opportunity to explore the subtle details of our planet, while telling a unique story.
