Over 300 people died, more than 560,000 individuals were displaced, and countless homes were destroyed, as powerful Typhoon Kalmaegi devastated the Philippines in Nov 2025 with widespread rains and flooding, powerful winds and landslides.

Studies show the Philippines is one of the Southeast Asian nations subjected to the daunting effects of rising temperatures and shifting climate Atlantic Multi-decadal Oscillation and La Niña patterns, which have led to increased seawater heat energy for forming more powerful super typhoons, and above-the-average rainfalls that cause serious flooding.

There are not just data or figures. It is a stern warning to the international community that climate change is taking a heavy toll on our fellow human beings, requiring global unity, determination and actions to alleviate the situations and create a saver environment for the next generations.
