My Mosaic City
My Mosaic City
I often spend weekend afternoons on the hills edging the city, observing the shifting lights and shadows for hours. I find the play of light across the city both fascinating and dramatic, sometimes flat, sometimes three-dimensional, sometimes sci-fi. Most importantly, I seek out familiar landmarks, while unfamiliar buildings seem like mosaics, leaving me with no recollection of their appearance. This feeling inspired me to create this series.
I asked myself: Is it possible to create a space where clarity coexists with digital blur? What would that look like? I felt it was unique, so I decided to spend six months photographing this series, "My Mosaic City."
Hello everyone, I'm Shang Yaoyuan from Taiwan.
I'm a university lecturer, a creative director at an advertising agency, and a landscape photographer.
I enjoy collaborating with creative people from all over the world and exchanging ideas and concepts. I inspire others and I'm also inspired by them.
