The word "rupture" can refer to a sudden interruption or separation, both in terms of physical things like a ruptured muscle or tube, and metaphorically like the collapse of a human being.
This series consists of self-portraits and is an attempt to break free from the limitations I have imposed around and even within myself; an attempt to move through the circumstances.

Anita Hashemi Moghaddam is a visual artist based in Iran.She received her BFA in Graphic Design from Soore University,Tehran, and her MFA in Illustration from Azad University,Tehran.She has also collaborated with various magazines and publications as an illustrator and graphic designer and her art works have been showcased in various domestic and foreign exhibitions.Her video artworks and installations has been included in numerous group exhibitions.She held her first solo show in 2021 entitled“Epidermis”at Vali Art Gallery and her second solo show in 2024 entitled“Living Creature”at Soo contemporary art gallery.Anita represents her approach to her personal experiences through video art,installation,and photography.She believes that no matter how personal these experiences were,they have a social aspect that make the audience relate to and identify with them,which is what connects Anita to her audience.
