Eco-Morphosis: The Evolution of Language and Body
Eco-Morphosis: The Evolution of Language and Body
What does it mean to be a visual artist in the age of generative AI? This question guided Eco-Morphosis, a speculative photographic project that explores how a 5°C rise in global temperature could transform the human body, cognition, and language across migratory landscapes.
Built from over 3,000 images — including X-rays, MRI scans of my own body, portraits, and landscapes — the work blends scientific imaging, poetic reconstruction, and generative tools. Stable Diffusion and AI co-authors helped reshape archival material and imagine evolutionary scenarios.
The trilogy spans Singapore to New Delhi, Rome to Dakar, and Lima to Santiago — each chapter revealing how climate crisis rewrites the human body and its expressive systems. The result is both a trilogy of films and a photographic archive — an eco-futurist photo-book expanding the language of photography itself.
