Narcissus

"Seeks in the heat for rest, for coolness and for drink.
One quenches thirst, the other wakes within.
Drinking, he fools himself with his own reflection’s blink,
Loves the image without form, in vain loves a shadow thin."

This photograph refers to the myth of Narcissus from Ovid’s Metamorphoses and to Caravaggio’s painting titled Narcissus.
In my image, a modern Narcissus leans over a puddle and falls in love with his own reflection.
