How To Embrace A Body
When we embrace someone, can we really embrace them? This is the question I have been thinking about. In an intimate relationship, the physical touch between two people, the passing of fingertips, and the temperature of blood vessels flowing under the skin all bring people closer together, as if we truly have each other and know each other. When embracing a body, even if two hearts are close together, the seemingly insignificant distance of a few millimeters is actually far away. Because as an independent individual, we cannot fully integrate with anything and become another entity. Any friction, disagreement, or entanglement in an intimate relationship is meant to bring us closer to ourselves. The work 'How to Embrace a Body' revolves around the themes of integration and independence, sparking people's contemplation. We establish a relationship with another person or object, shorten the distance, understand each other, and go all out to cater to each other. What are we really able to

He Junnan (Rebecca), I am a photographer since 2007, currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in photography at the LCC of the University of the Arts London, and I am based in Shanghai, China. My main focus is fine art photography, and I have experience in directing, screenwriting, post-production editing, and fashion commercial photography. My works are mainly shot on film, and I am fond of traditional film culture and psychology. I am dedicated to creating complex and soulful emotional pieces, and also to reconciling and growing with the self that was emotionally neglected by my original family during my childhood.
